Due to the enormous success and the vast readership of memorialja.com: Jamaica’s only leading memorial website. We have launched a missing person section, which is a FREE service aimed at helping reunite those who get lost with their families and others who care for them.
When someone goes missing, either at home or in the Diaspora the effect it can have on their family or loved ones can be devastating: they can be left feeling angry, depressed, bewildered and often with a sense of bereavement.
From our experience, we know that people go missing for many different reasons. It may be because they feel they have no choice or that their family may be ‘better off’ without them. The act of going missing is often preceded by stressful life events such as trauma, unhappiness, depression, financial worries, abuse, arguments or domestic violence.
Some people go missing for a day, some for years; some return and sadly, some never do. Some people want to be found, some do not. Some only know they want to be found when they hear that someone is looking for them.
If you would like to take advantage of our FREE service we will be glad to let the world know you are looking for them by providing us with any personal data, pictures etc, in which we have your consent and use of any information you provide.
We will also work very closely with the police in their quest to bring a missing person case to a conclusion.
You can contact us on info@memorialja.com, where we will be happy to assist by putting you in touch with one of our many representatives anywhere in Jamaica who will be able to help.
